GALATA DESIGNS is a custom metalworking business in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Owner and operator Ben Galata established the business in 1997 soon after graduating from the College of Design at NC State University where he received an honors Bachelors of Industrial Design degree. Since its inception, Galata Designs has been creating one of a kind forged and fabricated metal architectural elements, furnishings, and sculpture for residential, commercial, and public spaces.

Galata Designs offers expertise from initial concept design through final project installation. Typical clients include designers, architects, builders, landscape designers, artisans, and private individuals. The variety of work is wide-ranging, and every is project is unique, but the common thread in every project is the insistence for a high level of quality, craftsmanship, functionality, and visual aesthetics.
